Every Monday to Friday I post a film to my Youtube Channel, Relax With Bricks. I build in real time, doing a bag a day. It’s something I like to do to relax. I’ve been doing it since lockdown and we’ve built up a delightful community of AFOLWACs (Adult Fans of Lego Who Are Chums). I thought I’d try posting the films here to see if it’s something you might enjoy. Over the years, we’ve established multi layers of rules and regulations that you won’t understand on first viewing (I am required to do a knoll and a sweep over of the pieces that is called the Poulter Pearson - named after the AFOLWAC who first requested it and the AFOLWAC who came to do a guest build and did such a delightful slower sweep that it had to stay) There are theme tunes and voices for regular contributors, the minifigures you can see at the rear of the build are all real people with names and jobs. (When you Goose up via my Patreon you have the option to be immortalised in LEGO form). They’re called the Gooses. Gooses. Not Geese. There’s a Goose called Ruth Hayes (the Snitchzilla) who must be represented by a golden tassel with google eyes which was sent to me when the AFOLWACS found a non LEGO (FLEGO) set of a Chinese Whore House and gifted it to me. The lore is rich and ancient at Relax With Bricks. We have an OmbudsGoose, like a VAR in football, who hands down the law when required. There’s a Book of Morons in which infractions must be entered. We’ve got an Incident Free Counter (currently sitting at 14 days) a hand puppet called Big Little Sue who is a monster and an on set cafe where Little Sue, keeper of the birthdays, sells Poisson Croissant to any passing minifigure.

Today is a new build day so it’s as good a time as any to introduce you to the world. Don’t worry, you won’t understand anything that’s going on but somehow, through the madness, we’ve managed to create a little oasis of friendship and calm. So if you fancy it, come and join us.
